Frequently asked questions
How do I capture a moment?
Open the app and tap the shiba on the home screen, or use the My Moment widget on your Home Screen or Lock Screen. When a notification arrives, you can also reply directly from the lock screen — no need to unlock.
Where are my entries stored?
Your entries live on your iPhone. If you have iCloud enabled in iOS, Apple syncs them to your other devices through your own iCloud account, encrypted by Apple. We don't store your journal entries on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
I'm not getting notifications.
Open Settings → Notifications → My Moment on your iPhone and make sure notifications are allowed. Inside the app, check Settings → Reminders to confirm your nudge schedule is turned on.
The widget shows an old entry or won't refresh.
iOS controls how often widgets refresh. Try long-pressing the widget and removing and re-adding it. If that doesn't help, email us with your iOS version and the widget size you're using.
How do I sign in or switch accounts?
You can sign in with Apple, Google, or a magic link sent to your email. To switch accounts, open Settings → Account → Sign Out in the app, then sign in with the other provider.
I'm not getting my magic-link email.
Check your spam or "Promotions" folder, and make sure support@mymoment.site isn't blocked. Magic-link emails are valid for a short time — request a fresh one if it expired.
How do I export my entries?
Open Settings → Export in the app to download a copy of your entries. If you'd like a copy of the account information we hold about you on our servers, email support@mymoment.site.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings → Delete Account in the app. This permanently removes your account record from our database. You can also email us to request deletion.
I joined the beta waitlist — when will I hear back?
We send TestFlight invites in small batches as the beta opens up. Keep an eye on the inbox you signed up with. You can email us anytime to update or remove your address.
I found a bug or have a feature idea.
