Privacy Policy

My Moment ("My Moment", "we", "us") is built by Team ACMW. This policy explains what personal information the My Moment iOS app and this website collect, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We've kept it short and plain. If anything is unclear, email hello@mymoment.app and we'll explain.
1. The short version
- Your journal entries live on your device. We don't read them.
- To sign you in we store the minimum needed: a user ID, your email, and which sign-in providers you used.
- We don't sell your data. We don't run advertising trackers.
- You can delete your account from the app at any time, which permanently erases your data on our servers.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in we receive a user identifier and your email address from your sign-in provider (Apple, Google, or our magic-link email). If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple may give us a relayed email address that forwards to your real one — we never see your real address.
Journal entries (your "moments")
Entries you create — text notes, timestamps, the moments you pin — are stored locally on your iPhone. If you have iCloud enabled in iOS, Apple may sync them to your other devices through your own iCloud account, encrypted by Apple. We do not store your journal entries on our servers.
Diagnostic data
If the app crashes, iOS may send Apple a diagnostic report which we receive in aggregated, anonymous form through the standard Xcode crash reporting pipeline. These reports do not contain the contents of your entries.
Website (mymoment.site)
If you join the beta waitlist on this site, we store the email address you submitted, the time you submitted it, the source page, and the user-agent string of your browser. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and is served over HTTPS. We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not embed any third-party analytics or advertising scripts.
3. How we use this information
- To sign you in and keep you signed in across launches.
- To send you the beta invite if you joined the waitlist.
- To respond to your support emails.
- To keep the service secure — for example, blocking abusive sign-in attempts.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or sale.
4. How your data is stored and protected
Account records are stored in Supabase, a managed Postgres provider. Supabase encrypts data at rest and in transit. Access to the production database is restricted to the maintainers of My Moment. Your journal content remains on your device and is not transmitted to Supabase.
5. Sharing
We share information only with the limited set of providers that make the app work:
- Supabase — account storage and authentication.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, push notifications, and app distribution via the App Store / TestFlight.
- Google — only if you choose Sign in with Google.
- GitHub Pages — hosting for this website.
We do not share or sell your data with anyone else. We will only disclose information when legally required to do so.
6. Your rights and choices
- Access & export. Email hello@mymoment.app and we'll send you a copy of the account information we hold about you.
- Delete your account. Open the My Moment app → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your row from our database. You can also email us to request deletion.
- Unsubscribe from emails. Reply "unsubscribe" to any waitlist email or email us directly.
If you live in the EEA, the UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection). To exercise them, email hello@mymoment.app.
7. Children
My Moment is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the account.
8. International transfers
Our hosting providers may process data in regions outside your own. Where required, we rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards published by our providers.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email before the change takes effect.
